Plus there is a magnificent meteor shower that takes places every 20 minutes. The food took an unusually long time to get to our table and at first we didn’t even notice since we were so busy exploring and taking pictures. For the future little paleontologist in your group there is a kids menu of course, it includes various choices like Pizza, Pasta, Sliders, Popcorn shrimp and even Dinosaur shaped chicken.

There is something in the menu for everybody from Spare ribs, Chicken and Pasta to Burgers and Seafood. We looked over the menus and although there were plenty of choices I was not overwhelmed by them. Trying to take in our surroundings time seemed to just escape us. We were seated right away and attended to almost instantly. To the right a place to shop for all your Prehistoric needs and to the left was the restaurant a.k.a archaeological dig site filled with small, large and extra large animatronic and audio-animatronic creatures. The first thing we noticed was this enormous and almost life like T-Rex towering over us. As we walked in we were greeted by the coolness in the air which we welcomed since it was so very hot outside. Overall, we were really pleased with our experience here and as a result, we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to eat at Disney Springs. While in Downtown Disney Orlando this past summer we could not resist the urge to pay a visit to the T-REX Restaurant and Shop. We all really enjoyed our food, and were really impressed with the quality! Even without the atmosphere, the food was good enough to make us want to come back and eat here again. The Chicken Fried Chicken was to die for, and the Bronto Burger pleased as well. HOWEVER the quality of the food pleasantly surprised us! The menu had a lot of appealing options, making it hard to decide what to order. We didn’t go into this meal with high expectations for the quality of food, as we figured this restaurant was really more about the atmosphere. You’ve grown accustomed to throughout your vacation. Overall, the staff at T-REX lived up to the Disney quality Were also helpful, and the employee who helped us at the Build-a-Bear wasĮxceptionally nice and lessened the awkwardness of an adult stuffing their newīuild-a-Bear sloth. No complaints here! The staff at the gift shop Our server was nice and friendly, made recommendations to usĪnd brought our food promptly.

They had all kinds of dinosaurs and other animals like mammoths and sloths, which made it more unique than your typical Build-a-Bear store. They also have a prehistoric Build-a-Bear workshop, which we had never seen before. If you have a child who loves dinosaurs, this is definitely an experience they will absolutely love!Īfter eating at the restaurant, you can also visit the gift shop and pick up some dinosaur-themed items. With so much to see, you could easily eat here a few times in different areas, and not feel like your experience was too repetitive. After our meal we took a few minutes to walk around and take some pictures of the scenery and with the dinosaurs. Every 15 minutes or so, a ‘meteor shower’ shook the restaurant with a loud noise and flashing lights. There were prehistoric creatures everywhere you look and they even had several different sections like an Ice Age room and an Under the Sea bar. We loved the atmosphere of the T-REX restaurant! The dinosaur theme was evident throughout the entire place. Luckily, it was not a problem and we were escorted to our table fairly quickly after checking in. Due to the rain, we were a few minutes late to the restaurant. We headed over to have lunch at Disney Springs and try out T-REX restaurant for the first time! We had planned to walk around and shop as well, but an extreme downpour of rain had us trapped under an awning and running between buildings, struggling to even make it to the restaurant.

On the final day of our trip, our flight didn’t leave until the evening and we hadn’t planned on going to a park that day. On our last visit to Walt Disney World, we were lucky to have the Disney Dining Plan! We planned to use our table service credits to try out a restaurants that we hadn’t eaten at before.
